JOMAUS University Scholarships Update

The 2027 JOMAUS Application Forms will Open : Saturday, 29th May, 2027. In 2026, 20 JOMAUS Awards that covered the five geo-ethnic axes of KULERE (Richa, Barkul, Ambul- Bargesh, Toff, Kamwai), MUSHERE (Mushere Central, North, West, Margif-Kopmur), RON EAST-MURWI (Bokkos, Makada, Kwatas, Tangur, Bokkos West), RON WEST (Daffo, Hottom, Sha, Manguna, Gwande-Karfa), & RON CENTRAL (Butura, Ndar, Mbar, Mangor, Mandar) were awarded to students in Airforce Institute of Technology Kaduna, Plateau State University Bokkos, University of Jos, ABU Zaria, and ATBU Bauchi. The degree courses covered Computer Science, Theatre Arts, Physics, Biological Science, Civil Engineering, Mass Communication, Chemistry, Sociology, Political Science, Microbiology, English, and Agriculture. Scholarship durations range from a minimum of one year to a maximum of three years.

In 2025, JOMAUS online awarded 10 scholarships for courses in Civil Engineering, Industrial Design, Human Physiology & Anatomy, History & International Studies, Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Banking & Finance degree courses at the University of Jos, ABU Zaria, Gombe State University, Plateau State University Bokkos and ATBU Bauchi.

The 2024 JOMAUS scholarship awards included degree courses in Medicine & Surgery, Engineering, Public Health, Film Arts, Biochemistry and Mass Communication to 7 winners at Achievers University, University of Jos, Ahmadu Bello University, Plateau State University and Federal University of Technology Minna. This brings the total number of JOMAUS scholars between 2022 and 2024 to 27.

In 2023, JOMAUS awarded 3 scholarships for degree courses in Mechanical Engineering, Psychology and Education & Economics at Moddibo Adama University Yola, Plateau State University Bokkos and University of Jos, respectively.

The Inaugural 2022 JOMAUS Awards went to 17 degree courses in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Fine & Applied Art, Education (Formal, English, Chemistry, Biology & Technical), Political Science, Computer Science, Accounting, Mathematics and Economics at ABU Zaria, University of Jos, Plateau State University Bokkos and Federal University of Education Pankshin.

01 July 2026 to 01 January 2027: Three AJAVAS Special Issues opened with 100% APC Waiver to Registered Members – 1) Alignment of Nutritional Strategies with Meat Quality and Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Production Animals; 2) Dairy Animal Nutrition and Behaviour: Impacts on Production, Physiology and Milk Quality; 3) Microalgae in Livestock Production and Enhancement of Animal Products. The AJAVAS Editorial Board is currently receiving, reviewing, screening and considering proposals and applications from eligible researchers and academics from all over the world as Special Issues Guest Editors. Selection Criteria: 1) An earned PhD, and 2) Extensive research publication track record are mandatory requirements.
