Dairy Animal Nutrition and Behaviour: Impacts on Production, Physiology and Milk Quality
Guest Editor: Dr. Babak Darabighane – Natural Resources Institute (Luke), Helsinki, Finland, & Semnan University, Iran This Special Issue explores all manuscripts on dairy animal behaviour, welfare and nutrition impacting physiological and production parameters related to milk production and quality. Pasture-based and intensive grain-fed production systems involving cattle, sheep, goats and other lactating species will be considered. Alignment of Nutritional Strategies with Meat Quality and Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Production Animals
Guest Editor: Dr. Rayudika AP Purba – Prince of Songkla University, Surat Thani, Thailand This Special Issue is dedicated to manuscripts that align nutritional and genetic strategies with meat quality and on greenhouse gas emissions in production animals. Submissions dealing with meat production and quality from Halal, conventional and alternative production systems will be considered. Manuscripts on both theoretical modelling, in-door controlled chambers and field measurements of greenhouse gas emissions are welcome in this issue. Microalgae in Livestock Production and Enhancement of Animal Products
Guest Editor: Professor Aduli Malau-Aduli – University of Newcastle, Australia This Special Issue is dedicated to microalgal sources of omega-3 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids for enhancement of healthy attributes of meat, milk and cheese from ruminant livestock production systems. Both reviews and animal experimentation studies will be considered. Freshly harvested, dry, powdered or capsule-based microalgae supplements and responses in animal products are welcome for consideration in this Special Issue.
